Message from school Chairman - Mr. Joseph Gathonga Chairman KAG School
It is with great joy that I present this report through our annual newsletter – Angaza.
I do indeed thank God for the year that was 2016 that showed tremendous progress to our school. The year went on smoothly and we were able to meet most or all our set targets within the year despite several challenges especially with:
- The devolved system of government
-Economic challenges
- Competitors around us.
The school has maintained focus on the delivery of its core functions without compromising standards: e.g. -delivery of high quality education and nurturing pupils in extra curriculum activities to promote talent and equip our pupils to compete favorably in the ever-diminishing job market both locally, nationally and internationally.
All our activities were built on last year’s progress and consistent with our long term goals as demonstrated by our level of growth.
I want to acknowledge the tireless efforts both physically, financially, advice and the encouragement from, Rosemary and indeed the entire Emley Africa Educational Project team and all well-wishers, The board of management, The headmaster and his teaching team, All support staff at the school, May god bless you all.
Your consistence and tireless effort depicts commitment to a good course and only time will prove the lessons we have learned.
I am also very grateful to the KAG family for their support both physically, morally and in the implementation of all our projects and activities.
Message from the Head teacher
Dear reader, once more it is an honor writing in our 14th edition of our school newsletter. It is through cooperation from the entire sector the school continue to grow and attract new parents and pupils. I must thank everybody that has contributed to be where we are. This year I want to report that it was a year where most of the projects that were earmarked to be supported by our donors were achieved I must thank all of them for the 16 year they have tirelessly devoted their time, energy and resources to achieve all we can see in school.
I was privileged to have a chance to travel to UK through the support of Rosemary and Jim. While in UK, I was able to meet most of the sponsors and we had healthy chat concerning the school. I would see the motivation and passion from our supporters, I was also taken to many places in UK and Scotland, what an honor it was .I must thank Rosemary and Jim for making this to happen. Thanks Rosemary and Jim!
We have achieved a lot as a school and I must report that since 2009 our school has been conducting national exam and 99% of our pupils transited to higher school. So far, we have 40 pupils in University and over 30 in different colleges. Looking backward and referring to our goals during the school inception, we have achieved raising the standard of education in the community. I am looking forward to seeing KAG School old boys and girls contributing in our national building and uplifting the living standard of the less fortunate. All this has not been been easily achieved it required tireless effort of our donors who have been supporting in supporting less fortunate and building of the infrastructure, Board of management who have been very supportive, parents who trusted us with their children and the members of teaching and non-teaching staff. I salute you all dear colleagues, without you we would not be where we are.
God bless you all.
I wish everyone Merry Christmas and happy new year 2017
Mr. Harrison Kamere - Headmaster KAG School.
